Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers's Annual Conference is a gathering of leaders from camps, programs, conference centers, and retreat centers, and their supporting dioceses, boards, and communities, of the Episcopal Church. It's a time and space for education, networking, camaraderie, rest, and rejuvenation. 


  • We're going tropical! The conference will be held at Camp Mokule`ia, located right on the beach on the North Shore of Oahu. 
  • Camp Mokule`ia is reserved for January 10-24 for individuals and families who would like to extend their stay before or after the conference. Please let Ashley know if you plan to do this
  • There are double-occupancy and family-friendly accommodation options available at Camp Mokule`ia. You may also want to consider a nearby AirBNB or VRBO rental. We appreciate your flexibility as we coordinate housing for this conference. 
  • Shuttles will be available for one-way or round trip transport to/from Honolulu (HNL) on the Sunday, Thursday, and Friday of the conference.

  • When registering, please use the Family/Friend Rate to register non-program participating guests. 
  • Due to space at Camp Mokule`ia, single rooms will not be available for this conference. We are offering a reasonable commuter rate for those wishing to take advantage of the numerous nearby Airbnb or VRBO options. 
  • The following rates are for the first registrant from your center. There are discounts available for first registrations received by October 1, and for second, third, and fourth registrations from the same center. 
  • Airport transportation is included in these registration fees. 
    • Double Room with Private Bath: $735 -- SOLD OUT
    • Double Room with Shared Bath: $685
    • Dormitory-style in Cabins: $525
    • Campground (Tents provided): $425
    • Commuter Rate: $300, or $75/day
  • Non-attending rates are available for family and friends attending with you.
    • Double Room with Private Bath: $510 (adults), $460 (youth, ages 2-17)
      • You can add up to two non-attending children to a double room, at a cost of $200 for the week. Please plan to bring your own air mattress, and note that this will be a very tight fit

Here is the schedule for the week. Chidcare will be available for children under the age of 4 during most large group, workshop, and reflection group times. The conference schedule is intentionally built to incorporates concrete educational opportunities with wellness activities to maximize your time in Hawaii. Plan to spend each morning in keynotes and workshops, with the afternoons largely devoted to on-site wellness or off-site learning field trips.

Learning field trips are intended to help us consider ways our centers are their own sacred spaces, and to do activities and visit places relevant to our program and ministries, while seeing more of Hawaii. Field trips will include:

Package 1: Two Days, Two Nights in NYC! You are bidding on a wonderful trip for two that includes two nights in a hotel in New York City, dinner out on the town with the Presiding Bishop, AND a made for you adventure in the city that the Youth Ministries Office will help you design. Do you dream of seeing a show in New York? Want to go spend the day at the Natural History Museum? Want a tour of St. John the Divine? What about a bus tour of the city? Want to visit the 9/11 memorial? What else do you dream of doing in the Big Apple? You will work with The Episcopal Church’s Formation Office to plan your dinner with the Presiding Bishop and then choose your adventures while you are there. This package also includes a chance to meet with people from Church Publishing, Episcopal Relief and Development, and Episcopal Church Foundation. Hotel, meals (or money for meals) and adventures in the city are included up to $1,500, and airfare up to $1,000. Prize valued at $2,000. Dates to be coordinated with the Presiding Bishop’s office.

Package 2: Experience Lake Tahoe in the wintertime, including world-class views, and easy access to some of the best snow in the world. Wintertime weekend accommodations for up to four in a lakeside cabin on Lake Tahoe (at Camp Galilee), including ski passes and a handmade knit blanket. Airfare up to $2,000 is also included. Dates to be coordinated with Camp Galilee.

The Fine Print: Reverse raffle tickets are available to the public. In a reverse raffle, tickets are pulled until only one, winning ticket remains. One (1) winning ticket for each package will be drawn at Camp Mokule`ia on Thursday, January 19, 2017 during Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers Annual Conference. Winner need not be present to win.

Forma Stayover

Camp Stevens, which serves the dioceses of Los Angeles and San Diego, is opening its doors to those interested in quiet retreat space between ECCC's Annual Conference in Hawaii and Forma's Annual Conference in Anaheim, California. It is about 3 hours between Camp Stevens and Anaheim. Just over an hour from the San Diego Airport and two hours from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Camp Stevens sits on 256 acres of oak woodland a mile outside historic Julian. Come for the hiking, to rest in front of a fire, or for a home-cooked meal. Lodging and meals will vary depending on the number of folks interested.
