St. Crispin's Episcopal Conference Center - Intern - Wewoka, OK - Diocese of Oklahoma

Are you interested in a career in the Conference Center industry?  Would you enjoy an exciting opportunity to gain experience while working at a modern facility located on 450 wooded acres with 2 lakes in Oklahoma?  St. Crispin’s Episcopal Conference Center has a 12-month internship position available working with our conference center.

The intern will serve as a vital team member with the main responsibility of osting weekend retreat groups and facilitating outdoor programming when needed.     

Guest Service Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• ·         Preparing facilities and services to meet guest needs (involves moving chairs and tables)
• ·         Welcoming arriving groups and orienting the group leader to center policies and procedures
• ·         Being available to respond to group needs
• ·         Checking out groups at departure
• ·         Assisting the kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance departments as needed to meet the needs of guests
• ·         Being on-call to meet guest requests throughout weekend
• ·         Other duties as assigned

Office Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• ·         Answering telephones and inquiry calls
• ·         Prepare group information sheet for new bookings
• ·         Town runs to Wal Mart, Ace Hardware, Post Office, etc…

Qualifications:

• ·         Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills
• ·         Self-motivator with strong attention to detail
• ·         Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• ·         Being a person of Christian faith willing to serve as a positive role model by living a Christian lifestyle
• ·         Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• ·         Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university
• ·         Experience working in guest or customer services
• ·         Lifeguard certification
• ·         High and low ropes experience
• ·         Familiarity with the Episcopal Church
