Benefits Administration

through the Church Medical Trust

Medical benefits

The Medical Trust offers seven Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHP), offering 4-tier rates (Single, Single plus Spouse, Single plus Children, and Family) and the Standard RX option. Many groups are able to offer a CDHP and save money, even when contributing money to the employee’s health savings accounts (HSAs).

dental benefits

You can choose to offer medical and dental, or either one separately. We offer three Cigna dental plans:

  • Preventive Dental PPO

  • Basic Dental PPO

  • Dental & Orthodontia PPO

Group Life and Disability Insurance

Members of ECCC are also able to access group life, group supplemental life, short-term disability and long-term disability insurance for your eligible employees. You can participate in these valuable employee benefits through CPG even if you are not interested in medical or dental plans.

Employee Assistance Program

All of the plans offered by the Medical Trust have a robust Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) included as part of the benefit for your employees.

Details

EAP is offered through Cigna Behavioral Health at $5 per employee per month and will cover the entire household of your enrolled employee.

The Center must pay for this EAP-only coverage; you cannot require your employees to pay any part of this coverage. Employees regularly scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours per year are eligible for this benefit.

“We believe this benefit is so valuable that we offer it as a stand-alone plan for any of your eligible employees who waive enrollment in a Medical Trust medical plan due to spousal or other coverage.”

Eligibility

Both employees that are 1) classified as exempt under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and 2) hourly employees working at least 1,000 hours per year are eligible to participate in health benefits through the Medical Trust.

A Note about On-Site Housing

If any of your employees enrolled in a lay pension through CPG live on-site or in center-provided housing, the value of that housing is considered part of compensation for pension purposes. The calculation was simplified in CPG’s recent pension plan revision, and information to help you calculate the pension assessment is available on our website. Please note that the value of housing for tax purposes or for the clergy tax exemption may be very different.
