Harvard Business Review and VitalSmarts have published results from a recent online study on employee and manager feedback: Eighty percent of the 1,335 respondents said their boss has a significant weakness that everyone knows and discusses covertly with each other, but not directly with their manager.

Some of this may very well be harmless griping, or even a kind of teambuilding for your staff, but what if you’re missing something significant?
