This year our Visionary and Advocacy Council Gathering will be held in conjunction with ECCC’s flagship event, the Annual Conference. Our vision is to create a gathering where Council members, Center Directors and staff meet and have opportunities to be in community together, to exchange ideas, and to celebrate the ECCC community’s successes.
Visionary Advocacy Council members will have designated time to meet with one another, to attend workshops and participate in Wellness Day, which includes a trip to Washington DC and the National Cathedral.

ECCC’s Visionary & Advocacy Council Retreat and Annual Conference will be held at the Claggett Center in Maryland, within an hour of three airports: Baltimore (BWI), Reagan (DCA), and Dulles (IAD). Shuttle transportation will be available to/from BWI. Please plan to arrive Monday afternoon/evening, and depart anytime on Wednesday. (Note that Wednesday’s afternoon will be Wellness Day, including Washington DC excursions.). If you plan to stay beyond Wednesday, please plan to register for the Annual Conference, instead of the Visionary & Advocacy Council Retreat.
We ask Visionary & Advocacy Council members to consider paying for their accommodations at the 2020 retreat. We have rooms reserved in Claggett Center’s new Christiane Inn. Suggested costs are $147/single or $245/couple per night, for Monday through Wednesday. If you’re able to join us for more days of the conference, please plan to register for the full event.
