Job: Hospitality & Recreation Intern (Lake Logan, North Carolina)

Lake Logan serves Christ by welcoming all generations to experience restoration and reconciliation with God, one another, and all creation.

Two intern positions are available.

Position Purpose:

To further the mission and vision of Lake Logan by providing:

  • a learning opportunity for young people with vocation interests in hospitality, recreation, outdoor ministry, retreat ministry, program management, environmental stewardship, facilities management, customer service, and/or related areas.

  • a safe, fun, and attractive environment for children, youth, and adults to gather for recreation and retreat.

  • Serve as host to waterfront guests – providing on-site presence on weekends, checking in guests, enforcing rules, and keeping the area clean.

  • Serve as host to campsite guests – preparing campsites for arrival and checking in with guests during their stay.

  • Serve as host to guests in the dining hall – providing a presence for answering questions and concerns and communicating needs with the kitchen, facilities/ housekeeping, and guest services.

  • Assist Director of Facilities, Grounds, and Environmental Stewardship with guest set-ups, minor repairs, and trail maintenance.

  • Communicate with season members in person and via telephone / email.

  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the above, interns will work with the executive director to develop specific learning goals and develop work projects that help meet these goals. Example projects might include trail building, program development, marketing campaigns, etc.
