STAFF BIOS

  • Executive Director

The Rev. Jess Elfring-Roberts serves as Executive Director of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers, bringing more than 20 years of camp and hospitality experience to nurture spaces of belonging, joy, and renewal. As a deacon in the Episcopal Church, Jess’s ministry focuses on justice, community advocacy, and bridge-building.

An award-winning comedian and filmmaker, Jess weaves storytelling, humor, and creativity into leadership and formation—helping communities imagine new ways to grow together. Grounded in years of youth ministry, camp life, theater, and team sports, they bring authenticity, curiosity, and playfulness to every aspect of their work. Jess holds a B.A. in Acting and a Master of Education.

Jess lives in Chicago with their wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters. As a family, they enjoy board games and bike rides around the city. Jess serves as deacon at Church of Our Saviour in Lincoln Park and continues to create and perform through Part Dog Improv, teaching at The Second City, and Urban Pebble Productions.

  • Associative Director

Megan Kittridge serves as the Associate Director of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers. Her journey in Episcopal camping began at age six as a Pee-Wee camper at Paradise Point Camp, where she later served as seasonal staff, committee member, and Camp Director. In her current role, she supports leadership development across the network through conferences, retreats, and grant initiatives.

Megan holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.A. from Western Washington University. She is passionate about helping leaders find their footing, whether on forest trails or in ministry, and supporting the camp and conference center staff who create spaces of joy, belonging, and spiritual growth.

Megan lives in Boise, Idaho, with her spouse and two cats and enjoys making messes in the kitchen and crafting delightfully bad puns.

  • Operations Administration

Samantha Clare (she/her) is a southern transplant living in living in Hattiesburg, MS with her poet husband and their 4, 3, and 15 year old kids. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area attending programs at The Bishop’s Ranch and St. Dorothy’s Rest. Samantha has worked in the Episcopal Church in a variety of contexts for her entire professional career including as a camp counselor and program staff. She is currently a student at Bexley Seabury studying with the hopes of having a fruitful vocation in resource development for the Episcopal church. She loves being outdoors, cooking, spending time in her garden, and pretends to like running. Samantha is excited to join the ECCC community to support your vital ministry.

  • Communications and Member Support

Bekah (she/her) believes her life to be an example of God’s humor and grace. Equipped with an ever-present laugh and a lot of opinions, she is currently living that mid-20s stereotype of cobbling together a number of jobs in the pursuit of living out her passions (and also having health insurance). On top of her job at ECCC, she serves at St. Francis House Episcopal Student Center, University of Wisconsin - Madison, as both the Office Coordinator and the House Fellow for Camp Ministries and at EpiscoWisco Camp as a Session Director.

Her favorite aspect of her ministry are the opportunities she gets to encourage others to discover new parts of themselves and to walk with them as they explore and make their faith their own.
