Rob has been a Camp Director since 1988 and since 2008, he has been the Executive Director of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas’ camping program. Rob has the pleasure of overseeing the operations and facilities for the Diocese’s three sites: Camp Capers in Waring, Texas; Mustang Island Conference Center in Port Aransas, Texas; and Duncan Park Camp in Ward, Colorado.
Rob grew up in camping, attending a YMCA camp on Possum Kingdom Lake as a camper and staff member for fourteen summers. He worked for Mission Presbytery for twelve years, eventually as the Executive Director of John Knox Ranch and Outdoor Ministries. He has served on the boards of the American Camp Association, Texoma, and the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association, Episcopal Church Camp and Conference Association and Children’s Association for Maximum Potential. Rob has also served on the ACA National Program Committee, National Task Force and is an ACA Lead Visitor. Rob also serves as an ECCC Consultant.
Rob and his camp director wife have 6 children and four grandchildren and live in Wimberley, Texas.
