Program Summit 2026:
September 13-16

Telling the story of your summer

The ECCC Program Summit brings together summer camp professionals for a time to reflect on the past summer, exchange resources, cultivate innovation, build connections, and enjoy a sense of community.

This year, we will be diving into how we tell the stories of our work. Bring your photos, survey data, and stories of the camping season. During collaborative work blocks with expert support you'll transform that information into stories of impact. Learn interviewing techniques to get the great anecdotes from staff before they fade from memory. Build summer recap slideshows for websites, mine surveys for actionable insights, and get ready to share your camp's story with multiple stakeholder audiences. There will also be dedicated time for fellowship, worship, and wellness.

Program Summit is for anyone who has a hand in creating programming for or staffing camp. You do not need to have a certain job title to attend but here are some positions that have found Program Summit helpful: Camp Director, Executive Director, Program Director, Session Director, Activity Lead, Diocesan Youth Coordinator, Counselor looking to learn more about what goes into running camp.

Meet our Expert!

Sonya Feibert (she/her) is a writer, storyteller, and improviser. Like a true Gemini, she has her hands in many cookie jars but only eats the ones with chocolate chips. Sonya has taught writing camps and classes for The Cabin and is the co-founder of Boise Improv Week, a week-long celebration of improv and play. She’s been a Story Story Night Slammer of the Year finalist and has performed regionally and internationally at places like Storyfort and the Edinburgh Improv Festival.

In January 2024, Sonya was an artist-in-residence at Surel’s Place, where she debuted a story about the mysterious beginnings of her hard-to-pronounce last name. In 2025, Sonya received a grant from the Boise Department of Arts & History and produced an LGBTQ+ storytelling show at the historic Erma Hayman House. You can learn more at her website
