2026 Camp Cycle of Prayer Launch
Chicago, IL — May 20th, 2026 — Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers (ECCC) invites the Episcopal Church and the wider community to join in our Summer Camp Cycle of Prayer, lifting up the campers, staff, families, and sacred spaces of Episcopal camps, conference centers, and retreat ministries across the Episcopal Church.
Running from May 24th through August 15th, we encourage you to take a moment to offer your prayers for each of our camp communities across the Episcopal Church. Together with God, we celebrate the transformative ministry of camp — where faith is nurtured, friendships are formed, leaders are developed, and God's love is made known in nature, community, and creativity.
“Camp is holy ground—a wild cathedral of joy, growth, and grace,” said The Rev. Jess Elfring-Roberts, Executive Director of ECCC. “Whether you have been to camp yourself or simply believe in the power of formation outside church walls, we hope you’ll join us in surrounding these ministries with love.”
ECCC's Camp Cycle of Prayer highlights camps each day throughout the summer season. Participants are invited to:
Pray for the safety, joy, and spiritual growth of campers.
Pray for the wisdom, energy, and compassion of summer staff.
Pray for the parents, caregivers, and families who entrust their children to these experiences.
Pray for the camp spaces themselves — sacred places of renewal, play, and belonging.
Share your own camp stories of transformation.
