Book Swap at Annual Conference!
As you know, our theme for Annual Conference 2026 is Storytelling. To that end, we want to invite you to bring a copy of one of your favorite books to our book swap at AC!
How it will work:
The books will be wrapped in paper so the swap is a mystery! Each book will have an overview attached to the front. Conference staff will know which books are which, though, in case you think you have already read one. Inside the book will be the contact info of the person who gave it to the book swap so you can talk about it with them if you would like!

Before the Conference
Bring a book you love.
Choose a favorite book something that shaped you, moved you, challenged you, or simply brought you joy.Write a note inside.
On the inside cover, jot down why this book matters to you. What did you love about it? How did it impact you?Add your name and contact info so the person who receives it can reach out once they’ve finished reading.
At The Conference:
Wrap your book at the conference.
We’ll provide wrapping supplies on site. Wrap your book and place a short, intriguing description or “teaser” on a sticky note on the outside—just enough to spark curiosity without giving anything away.Swap & discover.
Everyone will choose a wrapped book to take home. You won’t know what you’ve picked until you unwrap it—just that it’s someone’s favorite.Connect after you read.
Once you finish your new book, reach out to the person whose note is inside. Share what you thought, ask questions, or simply say thanks. It’s a built-in conversation starter—and a chance to deepen relationships across the ECCC community.
